Email Marketing Specialist

Reporting to the Manager – Customer Relationship Management (CRM), the Email Marketing Specialist - CRM, is responsible for the development and execution of Michaels email marketing. High level responsibilities include the day-to-day management of the email life cycle, while collaborating with multiple business owners. This Team Member will execute the day-to-day operational tasks, including content planning and briefing within a highly-collaborative cross-functional team, managing internal and external partners to deliver changes, and testing final content to ensure a positive consumer experience.Major Activities
- Strategically manage and execute all aspects of email campaigns, with a customer-first mindset
- Execute the day-to-day operational tasks, including content planning and briefing within a highly-collaborative cross-functional team, managing internal and external partners to deliver changes, and testing final content to ensure a positive consumer experience.
- Manage coordination of collateral, promotional items, and program translations to support marketing activities
- Proactively learn about customer behavior and engage in understanding other reporting and customer analytics that might influence email channel improvements. Keep current on email best practices such as data capture, relevant customer content, campaign analysis, and deliverability.
- Cover a variety of duties and tasks on a daily basis
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s degree
- Marketing, Communications, Advertising or relevant experience
Minimum Type of Experience the Job Requires
- 3 years of targeted marketing experience, preferably in a retail environment
- Email experience (development/execution) within a marketing team environment
Other
- Ability to think strategically, generate creative solutions, manage multiple projects, and achieve successful business results rapidly
- Superior project management skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent team player with the ability to bring innovative ideas to the organization
- Ability to coordinate projects with both internal and external partners, including multiple agencies
