Financial Analyst (Hybrid)

The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing support, analysis and insight into the company’s past and future financial performance. This position will help the assigned functional area as well as the business partners in developing monthly forecasts, annual budgets and 5-year strategic plans. This position will also help develop analysis on actual results compared to forecast and budget. The Financial Analyst must possess the ability to create and maintain various financial reports and perform analytics to support its functional area.Major Activities
- Integral participant in the development and completion of the annual plan and monthly forecasting process for Sales, Gross Margin, and G&A
- Develop insights and understanding of sales performance based on data and statistical methods
- Closely work with the Marketing, Operations, and Merchandising Teams to determine variance explanations on sales
- Ability to interpret various sources of business data, synthesize and deliver actionable insights to leadership team
- Prepare executive level presentations that will summarize operational and financial performance, including effectively communicating variances to forecast.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable communicating with senior leadership
- Aid in the creation of dashboard(s) for leadership to monitor progress throughout the month.

Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
Minimum Special Certifications or technical skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Access, Word and PowerPoint)
- Hyperion Essbase
- High level financial acumen
Minimum Type of experience the job requires
- 1 to 3 years in a Financial Analyst role
Preferred Special Certifications or technical skills
- Data visualization a plus (Tableau, Power BI)
Preferred Type of experience the job requires
- Experience in retail a plus
